“The Golden Age of Science” Lecture Series announcement

The Departments of Biology and Marine Sciences of the Halmos College of Arts and Science are proud to announce the “The Golden Age of Science-Adventures and Maturation in the History of Science ” Lecture Series. The series-running this fall (October 18 thru December 12)- will feature comprehensive research presentations, presented by a mix of NSU faculty and invited science luminaries. The series will highlight broad important topics across 120 years of science advances and adventures with a special emphasis on how they influenced medicine, science, and society at large. Learn about big discovers in science from those who made them. Each lecture will present a comprehensive presentation around details of a game-changing area in science history and how science paradigms and the world of science applications were actually developed. The lecture series is open to NSU-Florida faculty, students, the public, and community members who are interested in advances and history of modern science and medicine. The lectures and open discussions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday at 4:00PM in Mailman Auditorium at NSU. A preview of some of the topics to be covered will be presented in the HCAS 2022 Research Symposium
